Readathon #2: 24in48

In May, I participated in my first readathon, Bout of Books. I set myself the goal of reading 24 hours over 7 days, and I totally crushed it. Ok, I didn’t crush it, but I did the thing! It was a fun, low-key way to motivate myself to read more.

I’m going to try to step it up this weekend and participate in the 24in48 readathon. What’s that, you ask? I’m going to try to read 24 of the 48 hours in this weekend. Sounds completely preposterous considering that it took a fair bit of discipline on my part to fit 24 hours into a week you say? Well, yes. You’re correct. But when was I one to let implausibility stop me? Ok, all the time, but I’m trying to turn over a new leaf!

I have to say, I’m a little intimidated by this readathon, and I’ve been reluctant to lay out a TBR or set a books/pages read goal. I know I’ll be listening to Imprudencethe second book in Gail Carriger’s Custard Protocol series. Beyond that, it’ll be whatever is on my shelves that strikes my fancy. Because of some social obligations (and, to be honest, the fact that I am incapable of saying no to a nap), it might be tricky to fit all 24 hours in, but I’m going to give it a solid try.

I’ll be doing most of my posting at Litsy (where I’m @thatotherlisa) and will try to do one or two read-a-thon related posts here. Anyone else participating?
